About CAT

MeMom and Billie
The C.A. Tugeau Agency LLC has as of Jan. 2018 happily just changed our name to The CAT Agency Inc. and my daughter Christy Ewers is the new owner and lead rep!

A trained painter myself, I found my ‘calling’ when I began working for another agent in our fine industry in 1990. At the start of 1994 I opened my own agency in this wonderful industry Then in 2014 my daughter Christy joined me.

After a BA with a Fine Art Major and Lit Minor from DePauw University (IN), I worked in NYC for Family Circle Magazine’s Art Dept. while doing freelance assignments. Later, as I brought up three creative children with my husband in CT, I helped organize and manage a local Fine Art Guild, a town school-wide performing arts educational organization, two local chapters of a national mother-daughter philanthropic group while always involved in various other art projects for the town and school system. During those years I also did graduate work in Art Therapy and worked in Interior Design.

Having Christy join the agency as partner, rep, and now new owner is truly a dream come true.  It insures the CAT Artists/Authors will continue into the future.  Art, artists and kids books have always been part of our lives and loves. We work hard for ethical fairness in our wonderful industry, and enjoy writing for and presenting to artists at various national and regional conferences for SCBWI and other organizations and newsletters. We are here to help and serve … so take a look, give a call or e-mail and we look forward to getting to know you a bit!

Please also check out Tugeau 2 my daughter-in-law’s agency, and the work of my son, Jeremy Tugeau!
